Software Engineer & Hobbyist Photographer
I am a Software Engineer, tinkering and building software professionally for about 5 years now.
In 2022, I joined as an early engineer at True Beacon, an Indian hedge fund where we build data-heavy trading systems that transact and take decisions on hundreds of crores of rupees of investment capital. Currently, I lead the engineering team, wear multiple hats, and primarily contribute to architectural decisions that power the next generation of our growth.
Before joining True Beacon, I pursued a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics and went on to study a Master's in Computer Science, both from Christ University, Bangalore. During my university days, I worked with multiple global businesses and startups where I built their MVPs, data systems, and websites.
I stumbled upon code somewhere in 2011, tinkering with GW-BASIC, mostly writing dead-dumb programs that made no sense but allowed me to look cool sitting at a computer and typing on a black screen. Thereafter, after a few years of confusion between being a professional photographer, a biology nerd, and a computer science geek, I took the decision to pursue what I do today.
Nowadays, I mostly write code in Go and Python, obsess over database systems and operating system internals.
